For golfers, Nairn is well known for its two Championship Links courses, the Nairn Golf Club and Nairn Dunbar Golf Links, with Castle Stuart and Royal Dornoch a short drive away. Nairn also has two football teams, Nairn County and Nairn St Ninian, which welcome visitors.Â

Founded in 1968, Nairn Sailing Club is an affordable family friendly club based at Nairn harbour. The cruisers and dinghies sail out of the harbour and regularly race in the Firth. The cruiser races mostly happen on Saturdays, whilst the dinghy sessions are Sundays during the sailing season.
Over the years it has gained a reputation, at home and on distant shores, for being friendly, welcoming and enthusiastic. This is true both on the water through the racing and cruising, as well as on the social side. The clubs singing and musical prowess is known far and wide!

This Highlife Highland facility offers a wide range of fitness classes, a state-of-the-art Fitness Suite and a swimming pool.
The 28 station fitness suite has Technogym equipment. All CV stations have easy to use touch screens with built in TV, radio, iPod docking station, headphone socket and built in heart rate monitors.

The first and only one of its kind in the Scottish Highlands, Nairn’s Splashpad is a fun, fully accessible play facility overlooking Nairn beach.
It is a lasting legacy that celebrates the lives of a brave local boy called Hamish Hey, and his mother Susan Hey, both of whom sadly lost their lives to cancer just a few years apart. Through the fundraising efforts of the #TeamHamish charity, locals and visitors to Nairn are able to enjoy the interactive experience.

Nairn St Ninian Bowling Club is a family friendly club that welcomes all to come and play bowls. Established in May 1961, it has served the community of Nairn for many years. Visitors who have never tried bowls are always welcome to come and give it a go. Â All that is needed is a flat pair of shoes as the club will have everything else.

Nairn Coastal Rowing Club was established in 2017 by a group from the local community that were keen to add Nairn to the fast growing sport of Coastal Rowing. Bringing the community together to firstly build our skiff and then provide a platform for both social and competitive rowing.
We provide appropriate training and all the necessary safety equipment to get onto the water to enjoy the beautiful coastal and inshore water ways in and around Scotland.
Just off the High Street, you’ll find the Highland Yoga Collective, a community-based yoga studio in the heart of Nairn. The Highland Yoga Collective offer a range of yoga, Pilates, movement, meditation and mindfulness classes which are inclusive and beginner-friendly. Nairn Bowling Club is a modern and well-equipped facility located a short distance from the town centre. The club has been awarded a Bowls Scotland Silver Bowls Mark accreditation in acknowledgement of the quality of its facilities and management. Visitors are warmly welcomed at Nairn Bowling Club.
To play, all you require is a pair of flat soled shoes, as the club will provide all other equipment. Join the members at 2pm every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday for trial sessions.

A traditional links course dates from 1887, visitors are welcome on both the Championship Course and the 9-hole Cameron Course, a gentler course that is perfect for a fun family round of golf and for practice sessions. The 6,800-yard links course is a treat for the senses, offering a variety of challenges set amongst spectacular views over the Moray Firth towards Sutherland and to the Cawdor Hills inland.
