Saturday 29th July 2023 sees the Nairnshire Farming Society celebrate their 204th Nairn Show! With their new location at Davidson Park, they are now more connected to the town than ever. Walking distance from the High Street, FREE parking and community buses running from the bus station from 9am-2pm, Nairn Show is accessible for all.
Join them for the day.
Get up close with stunning cows, sheep and horses; they even have alpacas joining them this year. You can learn all about the animals in their education tent with RHET and Nairn Young Farmers- sponsored by Graham’s Family Dairy, where you can milk a cow, discover more about farming and play games with all the family!
View the livestock judging from 9am – 12noon, then watch the Champion of Champions parade in the main ring – where you will also witness Vintage Tractors, Young Farmers Entertainment, mini tractor-pulling and so much more! NFS are delighted to welcome the Nairn & District Pipe Band back to the show.
The dog friendly day out also allows your pooch to feature in the pet parade or dog race. This year, Brodie Kennels are sponsoring this popular main ring hilarity, with each 1st place winner receiving a £25 cash prize! 2-legged visitors can also join in the main ring races. There’s a new young person’s race as well as the annual kids race. They have been generously sponsored by Landmark Forest Adventure Park with a family day pass as top prize!
Nain Show are delighted to see the return of Show Jumping and the Chase-Me-Charlie, featuring stunning horses with talented riders in a daring display! Not forgetting the variety of open-to-all tent competitions from wine, honey, horticulture, flower arranging and kids competitions, and the scarecrow competition returns too. All with free entry and cash prizes!
Keep an eye out for Nairn Wine Circle, Nairn & District Beekeepers, Nairn Allotments Society, Nairn Gardeners Club and Nairn Orchard Association, who all have displays. Learn about these amazing clubs in the local area and see the work they do bringing people together.
Local businesses will proudly be on display around the field. Check out their wares and learn more about the local economy that makes Nairn & District so special and Nairn Show such a grand day out for all.
New owners of Ardersier Port, Haventus are the main sponsors. They are keen to get to know the community and work on building relationships, so they have a tradestand with a shelter, seating, kids entertainment and refreshments along with plenty of friendly faces to tell people about the work they are doing.
New for 2023, Nairn Show has a bar license from 11am – 1am. They are delighted that they will have catering available until late. After an excellent day out, join them to boogie the night away at the marquee dance, with good music from Dark Horse Wedding Band, plenty to eat & drink and great company.
