Last week, Nairn BID manager, Lucy Harding caught up with this years Best in Show winner from the Wheels of Nairn. To the right are some pictures of Charlie with his trophy and pictured beside his winning car.
As with most show cars, she has gone for her annual hibernation and will emerge again in the spring/summer once the weather and roads are more suitable.
Why do people “winter” their cars?
Salts used on roads can be very corrosive to car bodies and the freezing conditions can be bad for tyres if kept outside. The added dangers that snow and ice throw into the mix mean keeping a show car garaged over the winter can protect it in more ways that one.
