A Taste of Community. Visit the Nairn Community & Arts Centre to get a ‘taste’ of all the clubs and events the heart of our community supports and promotes. 6.00pm – 8.00pm. More detail to follow.

Taste of Nairn Programme 2023

Foraging Along the River Nairn with Nature 4 Health. Join the team to forage and feed from the bounty of delicious wild foods to be found in the woodlands along the banks of the River Nairn. Booking essential by emailing [email protected] Spaces limited. Meeting at Riverside Park at 6-7.30pm £15 for adults, £5 concessions.

Nairn Museum. Visit the historic Nairn Museum to learn all about the town’s fishing and farming history. Viewfield House Viewfield Drive 10am to 4.00pm Adult £4, Children FREE

SUP (stand up paddle board) Taster Session. Join Paddle Bliss Nairn for some water fun! 90 min session. £30pp, limited slots available. Call 07738416046 to book.

Five Course Tasting Dinner & Whisky Tasting at The Bandstand in association with CopperCairn. Enjoy a delicious whisky inspired five course tasting menu, followed by a Scottish Whisky tasting experience hosted by Fraser Campbell of CopperCairn. Located in The Bandstand’s ‘Snug’ private dining room, you will be served several rare malts for you to savour; and Fraser will bring these to life through his 24 years of experience in the industry. 7pm. £110pp. Numbers limited to 16 persons.

“Havelock Dinner With Friends.” A special menu consisting of the Havelock staff’s favourite dishes that they would cook for friends. This will run Fri 28 – Sun 30 April.
9pm – Live Blues Band – Deep Blue Sea. Free Entry.

Fish & Fizz at The Classroom. £20 for a specially created Taste of Nairn menu. This will run Fri 28 to Sun April 30.

A Senegal Experience in Nairn hosted by The Bandstand. They will welcome back the amazing talents of Samba Sene & Diwan who will be joined by Papa B Thiam, a highly experienced chef who specialises in African cuisine. In the afternoon, enjoy an African BBQ experience, with Samba Sene’s musicians providing an African drumming performance.

During the evening there will be a Senegal inspired special menu, with a bit of Scottish flare thrown in. Then from 9pm Samba Sene & Diwan will perform their amazing fusion of funky mbalax/Afrobeat rhythms with undercurrents of ska, rock, Senegalese soul; original songs with impassioned vocals, infectious guitar licks and irresistible dance grooves.

Warm Your Soul at The Highland Weigh on Nairn High Street. Open from 10 till 3pm with live music from Eileen Solan from noon till 2pm, you can tuck into mouth-watering breakfast burritos and hot coffee for just £8.

Showstopper Cake Making Contest. Drop your ‘ROYAL’ themed cakes into the Community Centre to be in with a chance of winning the Nairn Star Baker title. Cakes must be delivered by 2pm. Winner will be announced later this day. Supported by Lifestyle Magazine.

Wax Melt Workshop by Coast Candle Co. Join Janis for a fun and fragrant workshop where you create beautifully scented and coloured wax brittle! Explore your senses and make wax melts that not only smell amazing but look fabulous too!  Perfect for all abilities. Age 8+ (must be accompanied by an adult).
