The Event
Saturday the 24th of September saw the second incarnation of the Wheels of Nairn event held by Nairn BID.
The BID team and volunteers (including members of Nairn Rotary)were down on the Links from first light to begin the set up of the days events. Vendors and exhibitors began to arrive and then at 10am the event opened to the public.
Vehicles were arranged in a variety of categories around the Links. Some were organised by entry category, and some by clubs. A market street was arranged to the top right corner of the Links.
Title sponsor- Nairn Car Sales, were located in the middle with a selection of cars on show, next to the sound stage. Hospitality sponsor, MakesByMegs, were located behind the sound stage on the hard standing where all the bikes were located.
There truly was something for everyone. For the kids there were rides, ice cream, a face painter and the Out There – mobile sensory room. For the adults there was a vast variety of stalls and vehicles spanning the ages. Many of the owners and clubs were happy to talk to people and share the love of their vehicles.
There were also some very nice gents in costume, thanks to Highland Cosplay.
