Burns Night is a celebration of the life and works of Scotland’s national poet, Robert Burns. Every year, Scots around the world gather to pay tribute to the man known as the Bard of Ayrshire. Nairn, our small town in the Highlands of Scotland, is no exception.
For those looking for a relaxed Burns Night celebration, the 1645 Inn in Auldearn is offering Haggis, neeps and tatties on their specials board, a talented young piper, and a quiz. Meanwhile, The Bandstand Bar & Restaurant has a special menu running from January 25th to 27th and a special party night on January 27th with the fabulous Sir-Reel Clarks featuring Aaron Clark playing live. Another establishment celebrating Burns Night in Nairn is The Classroom Bistro, which has a special menu all weekend.
Nairn institution, Ashers, will be offering a special Haggis, neeps and tatties Pie from Wednesday 17th for a limited time only! And Bruce Clark, our local butcher, makes his own haggis to die for!
Overall, there are plenty of ways to celebrate Burns Night in Nairn, so put on your tartan and join in the festivities!
